ALTERNATOR
The AC system is a vast improvement over the older DC electrics. At least you get more power at 12Volts, which means better lights and less corrosion and resistance in connectors. Unfortunately the old Lucas systems used big resistors covered in asbestos and funky rectifiers and later on zener diodes that converted the surplus power into heat. Do yourself a favour and install a Boyer Powerbox....
